My life as an intern at CKD: design, challenge and food
As a recent graduate, I was fortunate enough to spend five weeks interning as a designer at CKD. I was given the opportunity to jump right into real design briefs varying from branding, advertising to artworking. It was the first time that I was given so many design tasks at once, and it was exhilarating and awesome. This experience has helped develop and make my work portfolio so much stronger.
Throughout my internship, the team was extremely welcoming, kind and very helpful. It was an incredible journey during which I learnt so much by working with experienced professionals and feeding off of their knowledge. It was delightful to learn how to use new programs and to tackle new challenges through the fast-paced life of a design studio. The team not only helped me achieve successful designs, but also challenged me and taught me to always push beyond.
Working in Shoreditch area was all the more exciting due to the amazing food scene. Every day included a thrilling journey of flavours and wonders, from the Whitecross food market to Vietnamese and Korean restaurants. My creativity was definitely boosted with my love for all the good food.
